Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery, 3W, part-time 24 hours per week, days shift in St. Louis area.

The role requires maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, coordinating care with other departments, and applying the nursing process to deliver quality patient care. Applicants should be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license (state or compact), and have a BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
