Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W on a part-time schedule (24 hours per week). Days 7a-7p.

The role involves delivering care using the nursing process, upholding patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinating with other departments to evaluate care effectiveness. Minimum 2 years of patient care experience; BLS required; RN license in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
