Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery 3W unit. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with day shifts (7a–7p) and requires using the nursing process to provide safe patient care and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, Basic Life Support, and at least 2 years of patient care experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree and supervisor experience.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
