Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the General Surgery 3W team at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.

The role involves delivering patient-centered care via the nursing process, ensuring confidentiality, and coordinating care with other departments throughout shifts. Ideal candidates have a graduate nursing degree with an active RN license in Missouri (or compact), BLS certification, and at least two years of direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
