Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W on a part-time basis (24 hours/week) at Mercy Hospital South in the St. Louis area.

The role emphasizes utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, with responsibilities for coordinating care and maintaining patient rights. The ideal candidate will have a valid RN license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of patient care experience; a Bachelor’s degree and supervisor experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; supervisor experience.

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
