Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and evaluate care effectiveness while coordinating with other departments to uphold Mercy service standards.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure in Missouri or compact state.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
