Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a part‑time Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W. The role involves providing direct patient care, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree, maintains an active RN license (state or compact) and BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of patient care experience; BSN preferred. 50lbs lift capability and day shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
