Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W at Mercy Hospital South in Missouri. The role is part time, 24 hours per week, with days 7a-7p.

The RN will provide direct patient care, apply the nursing process, and coordinate care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. A current RN license and BLS are required; at least 2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
