Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a part-time RN for General Surgery 3W.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to care for assigned patients, evaluating care effectiveness, and coordinating with departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, an active RN license (state or compact), and BLS certification (or within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
