Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. This part-time role offers a 7a-7p day shift and a 24-hour weekly schedule, inviting you to apply your nursing skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinating with departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality. BLS required; 2 years of patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.
• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
