Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W. You will apply the nursing process to plan and deliver patient care during day shifts.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license (MO or compact), BLS certification, and at least 2 years of patient care. Preferred: BSN and supervisor experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
• BLS certification required, through American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan and provide patient care.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
