Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit on the night shift. This full-time role involves comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, medication administration, and patient education to promote positive outcomes.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain thorough documentation, and ensure strict infection control and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient factors across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle domains.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and evaluate care effectiveness.
• Ensure infection control, safety and regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. * Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
