Job summary

Sovah Health - Martinsville is hiring a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg on day shift. The role includes a 12-hour schedule (7A–7P), with every other weekend coverage and a $20,000 sign-on eligibility.

This in-person position supports Med/Surg and Telemetry patients with staffing at 1:6 and Meditech experience preferred. Applicants should hold an RN license in VA or a compact state, an Associate's degree in nursing, and may have a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including meds, specimens, and treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor condition; communicate with care team, physician, patient, family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and care coordination across transfers, discharges, referrals.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to age and culture.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For

The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants should have a current VA or compact state license. Associate's degree in nursing required.

Hourly Range: $33.31 - $44.97 per hour
