Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical Surgical/Post Op unit for night shifts. The role features 12‑hour shifts (7P‑7A) with every other weekend and a $20,000 sign‑on bonus eligibility.

You will contribute to a 12‑bed unit, caring for post‑op spine, orthopedic, ENT, abdominal, thoracic, vascular and general medical patients, in a collaborative team with a 1:5‑6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.

Formación

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required/strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate's degree in nursing required.
