Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Nursery team at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC. You will support newborn care, perform patient assessments, and participate in the Interdisciplinary Care Plan to ensure quality outcomes.

Applicants must hold a current state RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited school. One year of experience is required, with certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Accurate patient assessments and identification of patient needs.
• Initiation of appropriate nursing interventions.
• Documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Contributions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Timely QI assessments.
• Ability to monitor patients in a critical care setting.

The Nursery at Wilson Medical Center is comprised of a well-baby nursery as well as a 2-bed level II nursery serving newborns greater than 32 weeks gestation. The nursery provides care to more than 800 newborns annually.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN), who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for- a compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience required
