Job summary

Lifepoint Health is hiring an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse at Wilson Medical Center to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, and document medical necessity while contributing to the interdisciplinary care plan.

Applicants must hold a current state RN license and a degree from an accredited nursing school; BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Join Wilson Medical Center's Emergency Department which consists of 26 treatment areas. 20 beds in the main ED, a 6 bay Fast Track area and a vertical flow space. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, our diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs and Unit Secretaries whose goal is to create a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care. We take pride in our facility being a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center. With an average daily census of 120 patients, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN), who excels in this role:

What we're looking for- a compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.
