Job summary

Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our inpatient Med-Surge team. This in-person role features 3x12 shifts (7a–7p) with rotating weekends and holidays, and a commitment bonus of $20,000.

Qualifications include an active RN license in North Carolina, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and BLS/ACLS certification. New grads are welcome to apply and gain valuable experience in a high-volume unit.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifiers and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

More About Our Team

Our 22-bed Med Surge unit is split onto two floors with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6 is staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Patient Sitters providing care for a variety of patients including those on dialysis, diabetes, heart disease, geriatric patients, and recovering surgical patients.

How You'll Contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

What we're looking for- a compassionate nurse with an ability to provide expert and compassionate care to a diverse patient population with various medical conditions while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:

• BLS and ACLS required
• New grad RNs welcomed, 1 year RN experience preferred
