Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery to join our Family Birthing Center. This full-time night shift provides care for moms and newborns across labor, antepartum, and recovery settings.

The position requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in Illinois, and BLS and NRP certifications. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care and support families through the

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

• As a skilled RN, you will coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

Where You Will Work

Our Family Birthing Center has 10 Labor Beds/ 5 Antepartum/ 10 Triage/ 2OB ORs. 24 Mother Baby beds and 16 Intermediate Care Nursery Beds. 150-175 deliveries per month.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
