Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking an experienced RN to join our Obstetrics Float Pool on a full-time night shift. The unit features 10 Labor Beds, 5 Antepartum, 10 Triage beds, 2 OB ORs, with 150-175 deliveries per month.

You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care across Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Baby and SCN, using evidence-based practice to ensure safety and the best possible patient experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• NRP certification.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Baby or SCN.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and best experience.

Where You Will Work

Our Family Birthing Center has 10 Labor Beds/ 5 Antepartum/ 10 Triage/ 2 OB ORs. 24 Mother Baby beds and 16 Intermediate Care Nursery Beds. 150-175 deliveries per month.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP
• Previous experience in Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Baby and/or SCN required

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
