Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Mother Baby unit. This full-time night position requires 3–12 hour night shifts with every third weekend, delivering care in a busy Family Birthing Center.

Qualified candidates have an accredited nursing program completion, an active RN license in Illinois, and BLS certification; NRP is required. 36 hours per week with shift-based pay and comprehensive benefits.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• NRP required.

Where You Will Work:

Our Family Birthing Center has 10 Labor Beds/ 5 Antepartum/ 10 Triage/ 2OB ORs. 24 Mother Baby beds and 16 Intermediate Care Nursery Beds. 150-175 deliveries per month.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
