Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Hospital Supervisor in Marquette, MI. This PRN, nonexempt role supports 12-hour shifts, coordinates staffing, and ensures safe, high-quality patient care across departments.

You’ll lead orienting and coaching initiatives, conduct evaluations, and address complex staffing and patient care issues while adhering to hospital policies and Lifepoint Health standards.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing; master's preferred.
• PRN schedule and nonexempt status.

• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff; performs or assists with evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Ensures quality of services and compliance with policies; facilitates staff development.

How You’ll Contribute

• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.


• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.


• Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.


• Perform staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.


• Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school (master's preferred).

Additional Requirements Include

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)


• 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred)


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)


• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
