Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Surgery Unit. The role covers pre-operative nursing care, patient education, and coordination with the care team in a 3-shift per week pattern. Six-week schedules are provided in advance.

Requirements include an active California RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS, Epic experience, and a minimum of 2 years in Pre-Op/Perioperative settings. On-site care with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education support.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications from approved vendors.
• ACLS and PALS must be current and active.
• Minimum 2 years in Pre-Op/Perioperative settings (not including OR).
• At least 6 months med-surg in last 2 years preferred.
• Epic experience required.
• Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the pre-operative phase.
• Assist with preparation and coordination of patient care.
• Assess and monitor patients before surgery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-op care.
• Document care and maintain accurate records.

Schedule

Variable shifts, 3 12-hour shifts per week, with start times of 0500, 0700, or 0800. Monday through Friday with variable days. Six-week schedules are provided in advance.

Assignment Details

No on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/Perioperative settings (not including OR)
• Minimum of 6 months experience in medical-surgical nursing within the last 2 years (preferred)
• Epic experience required
• Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with a passing score
