Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista in California seeks a Registered Nurse specialized in Cardiac care. The role offers a day shift (Mon-Fri, 08:30–17:00) with no call, in a busy cardiac unit. You will assess, plan, and implement patient care while coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Required are a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; Epic experience is required. Preferred: 6 months med-surg and 1 year post-cath lab experience. Onboarding details provided at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and condition changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Schedule

Day Shift, 5 x 8s, Monday to Friday, 0830 - 1700. No call required.

Assignment Details

Requirements

2 years of experience preferred. Epic experience required.

• Current RN license in state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with passing score: Required
• Minimum 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing in last 2 years: Preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in pre and post-op diagnostic cath lab: Preferred
