Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care in North Carolina. The role supports a surgical department with a 14-bed Pre-op, 4 bay PACU and 6 ORs, and requires a NC license, an associate's degree, and BLS/ACLS/PALS within specified timelines.

The position offers full-time day shifts, 3x12s, including holidays and weekends. Compensation includes comprehensive benefits, PTO, tuition and loan assistance, and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina (or compact state) Registered Nurse license
  • AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS within six months of hire
  • One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Join our growing team! Our surgical department is made up of a 14 bed Pre-op, 4 bay PACU and 6 Operating Rooms. With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and OR Assistants, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations.

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

What we\'re looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate\'s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS and PALS within six months of hire
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
