Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dover is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit under the direction of the Nursing leadership.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, current BLS, and ACLS within 90 days of employment; ACLS is required for Charge Nurses. Inpatient medical-surgical experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days.
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise care on the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and access to community resources.
• May perform other duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
