PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Humble is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver and supervise patient care on the unit using the nursing process. You will coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and family teaching for post-hospitalization needs.

Current RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS certification is expected within 90 days. Experience in inpatient medical-surgical settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RN licensure in the state or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Charge Nurse ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate discharge planning and family teaching for post-hospital care.
• Provide interdisciplinary planning and access community resources.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
