PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospitals of Miamisburg is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and supervise care on the medical-surgical unit, using the nursing process, and to participate in discharge planning and patient education. The role requires current Ohio RN licensure (or compact), BLS, and ACLS within 90 days; ACLS is required for Charge Nurses.

One year of inpatient med-surg experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Ohio or a compact state.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and provide care.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
