Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dover seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. You will utilize the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary plans, and provide discharge teaching and community resource access.

Under leadership of the CNO/Director of Nursing, the RN may assume Charge Nurse duties; ACLS is required within 90 days where applicable. A current RN license and BLS are required to practice.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; ACLS must be AHA approved within 90 days.
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise patient care.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families for post-hospitalization and connect to community resources.
• May perform other duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
