Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown is seeking aRegistered Nurse (RN) for our inpatient medical-surgical unit in Georgetown, DE. You will deliver, direct and supervise patient care, coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and family teaching for post-hospitalization.

Requires current RN licensure in the state or compact licensure, and BLS certification; ACLS certification within 90 days (ACLS required for Charge Nurses).

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or valid compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; ACLS for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning and community resource access.
• May serve as Charge Nurse; ACLS certification required for this role.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post‑hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
