Job summary

Jobtailor in Shreveport, LA seeks a registered nurse to deliver, direct, and supervise care on the medical-surgical unit, using the nursing process.

You will plan and coordinate patient care, participate in interdisciplinary planning, perform discharge planning, and provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization. Charge nurse duties may be required, and you will access community resources to support care after discharge.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates
• Current BLS certification required
• Evidence of ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
