Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a registered nurse to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical nursing unit. You will use the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and provide care, while participating in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning. You will educate patients and families after hospitalization and access community resources as needed.

Charge nurse duties may be assigned. Requires active RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and priority on ACLS within 90 days; inpatient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of employment or compact licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
• Current ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit

• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties

Requirements

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
• Current BLS certification is required
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
