Twin County Regional Healthcare in Galax, Virginia, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Float Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced float pool across multiple units. This full-time night position runs 7p-7a with rotating weekends and requires an active VA or compact RN license along with BLS; ACLS, PALS within 6 months.
You will coordinate care using the Nursing Process, serve patients from infants to geriatrics, and work with Paragon EMR and other hospital systems to support efficient care

A Float Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
Supervise and coordinate care in a manner to ensure that patient needs are provided in an efficient manner and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Possess the knowledge to safely apply theory and practice using the Nursing Process of Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
Ability to work with all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Ability to work with Paragon applications (Electronic Medical Record), as well as other computer systems for patient care.

Applicants should have a current VA or compact RN license.
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS, PALS & Advanced Stroke course are required within 6 months of hire.
Trauma Nurse Core course (TNCC) preferred.
At least two (2) years of clinical experience is required in Critical Care, ED, PACU or similar.
Must respond within 60 minutes if placed on call.
Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) is located in Galax, Virginia, which is in the center of the Twin Counties of Grayson and Carroll in Southwest Virginia. TCRH is a 141-bed facility that includes acute care, ambulatory care and emergency services. TCRH is considered a rural hospital that serves a large Medicare population, as well as, a total population of approximately 60,000.
