Job summary

Centerpoint - Winchester, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Float Pool RN to provide adaptable, high-quality care across hospital units. You will contribute to patient care plans, perform assessments, and support families while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include an RN license and an associate degree in nursing, with a BSN preferred. Prior critical care experience is desirable; you will join a team dedicated to making communities healthier through compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associates Degree in Nursing, required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff; performs or assists with evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.

Our Float RNs are adaptable professionals with diverse expertise. They float to almost all areas of the hospital and must be able to adjust to what's needed quickly.

How You’ll Contribute

A Float RN who excels in this role:

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associates Degree in Nursing, required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
• Current RN to practice in the state of KY
• 2 years of critical care experience
• Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS per unit specific requirements
