Job Description

Position Summary

Up to $30K Commitment Incentive

The Enterprise Float RN will, based on hiring tier, be flexible and float to multiple areas based on level of cares hired into to provide patient care; highest level of care and lower. These requirements include, but not limited to, scheduling the day of staffing, assignments in more than one unit during a single shift, and to float to all designated levels of care and campuses within their tier and ECU Health Regions.

Responsibilities

  • Assures healing without harm through use of safety habits and error prevention tools, periodic rounding, and engagement in daily safety huddle.
  • Obtains and interprets initial and ongoing systematic patient/family assessment data, incorporating information from other appropriate sources.
  • Uses patient/family assessment data to formulate relevant nursing plan of care.
  • Collaborates with patient/family/significant others and interdisciplinary team members to mutually formulate realistic and measurable outcomes based on clinical presentation and plan of care.
  • Collaborates with the patient/family/significant others and interdisciplinary team members to develop an individualized plan of care which includes learning needs to achieve optimal health and well-being and transition across the continuum.
  • Implements and actions interventions identified in the plan of care with consideration for patients' needs across the life span.
  • Systematically evaluates and documents patient's progress based on expected outcomes and ongoing basis as identified in the patient's plan of care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher is required.
  • 2 plus years experience in nursing is required. At least one year experience in highest level of care practiced.
  • Travel experience is preferred.
  • Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life, and Basic Life Support required. National Stroke Scale Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required within 12 weeks of hire.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet the twenty-four (24) hour needs of the patients.

Pay Range

Pay Range for Staff Nurse II: $38.40-52.80

Final Compensation will be based on career ladder placement

Other Information

  • Position: full-time, 36 hours per week, all shifts available - 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
