Job summary

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC seeks a registered nurse to provide and coordinate care in accordance with NC Board of Nursing and ANA standards. The role includes data collection, outcome planning, and patient-family collaboration in a timely, compassionate manner.

This PRN night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) requires a NC RN license, 1 year of experience, and BLS, with opportunities to float to Medical, Surgical, ICU and ED as needed. A $5/hour incentive is included.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing or higher required.
  • 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • Current NC RN license or licensure in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state required.
  • AHA Basic Life Support is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate nursing care including the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluates the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process.
  • Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the health care team and delegate tasks as appropriate under NC Nurse Practice Act.

  • Responsible to provide care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice and other standards established by profession/professional groups, regulating bodies/agents. Nursing care will be delivered in accordance with ECU Health and entity specific nursing policies, procedures and professional standards of care/practice.
