Inova Mt Vernon Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our Emergency Department in Alexandria, VA. Eligible nurses may receive sign-on and relocation bonuses; the role is full-time day shift (7am-7pm) with orientation rotating through all shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care.
• BSN required; ADN acceptable if BSN completed within 5 years.
• Current RN license or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and caring bedside manner.

Inova Mt Vernon Hospitalis seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our Emergency Dept. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full-Time, Day shift (7am-7pm). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association
  • Proficient in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
  • Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strongly prefer 2 year plus of ED RN experience.
• CEN/ACLS certification desired within 5 years of start date.
