Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time days (7am - 7pm). The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to critically ill patients. We offer a competitive compensation of $39.66 to $53.40 per hour based on experience and a sign-on bonus of $10,000. Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Ensure timely documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data.
• Transcribe and process medical orders accurately.
• Respond to rapid response and code events.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.

• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid state registered nurse (RN) license.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
