Job summary

Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift to provide direct patient care, coordinate resident needs, and support the nursing team.

You will administer medications, monitor conditions, document care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality services in a resident-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide direct nursing care, coordinate resident care needs, and support the nursing team in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing standards


• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate findings promptly


• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team members


• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation


• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and changes in resident condition


• Provide guidance and supervision to LPNs and CNAs as appropriate


• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs and concerns


• Participate in resident care planning and quality improvement initiatives


• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory compliance procedures


• Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing


• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred


• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
