Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Charge PACU role. This full-time, day shift position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus eligible and a schedule of Monday–Friday 6a–2:30pm.

Join a diverse team that provides care across General, Bariatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic services, and more, including Endoscopy and Urology. You will perform patient assessments, nursing interventions, and maintain the interdisciplinary plan with

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

General, Bariatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurosurgery (craniotomies, stimulators and carpal tunnel), Orthopedic (Total joints, sports medicine, some trauma), Ortho/Neuro Spine, Ear, Nose and Throat, Podiatry, Endoscopy, Interventional Pulmonology, Plastics, Urology, Vascular which includes Endovascular, Oculoplastic and Dental, C‑Sections for L&D, and Open Heart.

How You Will Contribute

What We Are Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license.

Additional Requirements Include

• Bachelors degree preferred but not required
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One-year previous experience required
• SDS/PACU experience preferred
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
