Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown unit. This night shift, full-time role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $5,000 for new graduates. You will apply the nursing process, protect patient rights, and coordinate care across departments.
Required are a Missouri RN license (or compact) and graduation from an accredited program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN). BLS is required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Nights | Full-Time | 36 hours/week
Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000
New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:
Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.
BSN preferred
Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
