Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Stepdown unit (Days). You will apply the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and Mercy standards.

The role offers a competitive schedule: Full-Time, 36 hours/week, with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for experienced nurses and up to $10,000 for new graduates. Missouri license required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:

Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:

Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
