Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgical Stepdown on a night shift, full-time (36 hours/week).

You will apply the nursing process to deliver safe patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in line with Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in MO or compact licensure.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS or equivalent certification required within 30 days of hire.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Night Shift | Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Qualifications

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure

Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience

Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
