Sovah Health - Danville, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Behavioral Health nights. The role focuses on delivering safe, compassionate care on a 24-bed unit with a 12-hour night shift and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a Virginia RN license (or compact) and an Associate's degree in nursing, with a Bachelor's preferred. A $20,000 sign-on is available for eligible applicants.

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.

Hourly range: $31.49 - $42.51 per hour.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.

Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate's degree in nursing required.

Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
