Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical/Surgical nights. This 24‑bed acute care unit operates with a 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio and supports diverse inpatient needs.

You’ll contribute to patient care across disciplines, document care, and communicate with the care team, patients, and families. Requirements include Virginia RN licensure (single state or compact) and an Associate degree in nursing; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Experience in clinical area preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Hourly range: $33.31 -$44.97

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.Associate degree in nursing required.
