Job summary

Copper Springs Avondale is a behavioral health hospital serving the greater Phoenix area. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis, with a 3x12 daytime schedule.

You will deliver compassionate clinical care to adults with mental health needs and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment. You will assess patients, implement plans of care, supervise care delivery, and adhere to medications and policies.

Qualifications

  • Current state RN license is required.
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings per policy.
  • Demonstrate leadership, delegating tasks and supervising staff.
  • Oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and exemplary patient care.
  • Follow hospital policy for medication administration.

How You'll Contribute
  • Assesses patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
  • Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc
  • Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team
  • RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred.
  • Licenses: Must have a current Arizona State License or Compact License with Arizona endorsement.
  • Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
