Copper Springs Avondale is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team in Avondale, AZ. The RN will assess patients, plan and document care, supervise shifts, and ensure high-quality nursing care within a collaborative environment.

Now hiring for full-time days (3x12) with a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, and opportunities for professional growth. Arizona RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Arizona license or Compact license with Arizona endorsement is required.
• BSN degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings per policies.
• Oversee and supervise the shift; delegate tasks and ensure policy compliance; lead by example.
• Monitor patient for changes in condition and respond, including physician notification as needed.
• Follow hospital policy for medication administration.
• Interact with patients with empathy, dignity, and respect.
• Deliver quality nursing care to execute treatment plans per hospital policies.

How You'll Contribute

A Behavioral Health (RN) who excels in this role:

• Will assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
• Will oversee and supervise the shift. Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include: delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc. Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team.
• Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician.
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration.
• RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
• Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred.
• Licenses: Must have a current Arizona State License or Compact License with Arizona endorsement.
• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
