Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health to join the 1 East – Behavioral Health unit. The role involves caring for patients 18 and older in a secured 36-bed unit with diverse shifts (Evening, Night, Day).
Requirements include BSN within five years or already obtained, current Michigan Nursing License, and BLS. Behavioral Health experience is preferred, with emphasis on holistic assessment and collaborative care planning.
1 East is a locked 36 bed, secured unit and services patients 18 through older adult. Services criteria includes the presence of life threatening and/or severely incapacitating symptoms and Potential of harm to self or others is considered serious. Patients are admitted Through Psychiatric Access department in the Emergency Department at THAA. In most cases face to-face assessments will be required and in other cases transfers or direct admissions from other locations may occur.

Evening Shift 3p-1130p; Night Shit 11p-730a; Day Shift 7a-3:30p
Full-time, 8 Hour Shifts; Every Other weekend and Holiday rotation
Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care.
