Job summary

Essentia Health seeks a dedicated nurse to join the 32nd Avenue Building newborn ICU team in Fargo. You will organize and provide nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, delegating tasks as appropriate to licensed staff.

You’ll respond to emergencies and support safe patient transport as needed. Responsibilities include meeting Joint Commission standards and collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BCLS certification at time of hire.
• NIHSS certification at time of hire.

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responds to emergency calls, assists ambulance team in performance of medical services and safe transportation of patients to medical facilities.

Education Qualifications:

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification at the time of hire
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification at the time of hire

Rate: $63
