Job summary

Northway Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care and rehabilitation team in Birmingham, Alabama. The RN will deliver direct nursing care, assist with rehab plans, and collaborate with the clinical team to uphold high standards of care.

The position offers a full-time evening shift (3pm–11pm) with hourly pay ranging from $32.65–$42.85 based on experience, plus shift differential and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric and rehabilitation care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care to residents in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document residents' health conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding care plans and health conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Foster a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for residents.
• Supervise and mentor nursing assistants to ensure quality care delivery.
