Major/Essential Functions

• Coordinate daily operations by making and monitoring dailystaff assignments to ensure smooth workflow and taskcompletion.
• Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) to document andcommunicate patient information, supporting informed clinicaldecision-making.
• Assist with or perform medical exams and procedures, ensuringtimely documentation of all clinical interventions in the EHR.
• Administer or assist in administering medications, includingaccurate documentation of all medication-related activities.
• Actively participate in team communication by attendingmeetings and relaying key updates and initiatives during regularstaff meetings.
• Stay current with best practices and treatment modalities toprovide the highest quality of care in a correctional healthsetting.
• Monitor and ensure timely Access to Care for patients indesignated housing units during assigned shifts.
• Maintain safety and accountability by performing anddocumenting physical counts of sharps, instruments, and facilitykeys.
• Participate in on-call rotation as part of the clinical supportteam.

Required Qualifications

Completion of a Board of Nursing accredited program of professionalnursing or scheduled to complete a program of professional nursingwithin 120 days of applying for a position. Current RegisteredNursing license in the state of Texas or the attainment of atemporary permit from the Board of Nursing to practice professionalnursing pending full licensure in the state of Texas.
